Pedestrians in New York endangered by car accidents

Safety should always be a major concern when walking near traffic. This is especially crucial in heavily congested cities, where many people choose to walk to avoid traffic. In most car accidents involving pedestrians, the person has little time to react to a car that veers off course. In a recent accident in New York, a man fell unconscious at the wheel before running into a girl on the sidewalk.

The accident occurred a block from the girl’s house. The driver of the car fell unconscious at an intersection before veering onto the sidewalk and hitting the girl. The 13-year-old girl rolled over the hood of the car before being thrown into a nearby garden. Ambulances were called for everyone involved.

According to police, the girl was taken to the hospital, where she was treated for a leg injury. At the time of the crash, she was seen wearing a backpack full of books, which her father believes softened the blow from the car and saved her from further injury. A passenger in the car was seen trying to flee the vehicle just before the crash. The passenger appeared to be uninjured, but the driver was in critical condition.

While the girl managed to avoid being severely injured, others may not be as lucky. Car accidents resulting in serious injury can involve heavy medical bills, as well as other unforeseen consequences. If a person is found to be at fault in an accident causing injury, a claim can be made against the negligent driver. When faced with a similar situation, many people in New York speak with an attorney for advice and assistance on how to proceed with a personal injury claim.
