Police in New York are looking for the driver responsible for causing a crash on the Bronx Highway that left one person dead and another injured. This incident occurred Saturday, March 17. Car accidents of this nature are never easy to understand. The family wanting answers is certainly reasonable.
A mother and daughter — ages 44 and 16 — were in their SUV, driving home from a school play when their vehicle was abruptly cut off by another car. The mother — who was driving the SUV — ended up losing control of the automobile while trying to avoid hitting the car. The SUV ended up rolling several times before coming to a stop. The mother died in the crash, and the daughter suffered injuries — though she was transported to a hospital in stable condition.
The driver of the other car is said to have kept going. At no point did the two vehicles collide, so it is possible that the driver was unaware of what happened. As of the latest report, police have yet to identify the driver responsible for this tragic event.
When car accidents result in injury and/or death, the surviving victims and the family members of the deceased may have the right to seek compensation for their losses. In this case, achieving that compensation may take time while police continue to look for the responsible party. When found, civil claims may be filed against that individual in a New York court in an effort to achieve maximum relief for the losses this family has endured.
